Hein’s Bakery – Food Technologist to Bakery Owner

Fancy a heavenly lemon tart and a great coffee? Look no further than the newly opened Hein’s Bakery in Malvern Road, Malvern. Hein Daandels has created the ultimate light, airy and open shop design with large windows that look into the kitchen where you can watch Hein creating each and every product. Salva, Fortuna, Tekno Stamap, Merand and Escher all play a part in the delightful creations made at this bakery, but the real talent lies with no other than Hein himself.

Hein was originally working as a food technologist but always had a dream of owning his own bakery. His dream came to life after attending one of The Vanrooy Open Days and discovering the range Vanrooy had to offer.. He then quit his day job and alas “Heins Bakery” was born. Hein focuses on a range of products, from different artisan breads to traditional pastries along with pre made baguettes for the busy businessman wanting lunch on the go. But it doesn’t stop there, Hein’s bakery also offer catering for small events and offer a delivery service so if you can’t make it in to the store, you can have your order sent right to your doorstep.

With the array of equipment purchased, Hein has given himself complete flexibility to not only make a wide array of different products but to keep each item consistent and to run the business with minimal staffing. Hein’s hands on approach is not only cost saving but also reduces the rate of human error within the bakery.
