Bread Basket Company is the team behind Australia’s original plastic banneton basket. Founded by the former owners of Walter’s Artisan Bread on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, the brand grew out of a wholesale sourdough bakery that developed its own plastic banneton proofing baskets back in 2014. Using thousands of them daily, the founders learned firsthand what makes a great bread proofing basket. With their own plastic injection moulding business at the time, they had the expertise to perfect the design and materials.
From round banneton baskets to the best oval banneton basket for longer loaves, Bread Basket Company’s proofing baskets are dishwasher safe, stack neatly to save bench space and pair perfectly with its banneton basket liners for easy dough release. After the bakery was sold, the founders dusted off their old mould during Covid and began sharing their bread banneton baskets with home bakers and bakeries across Australia. Proudly Australian made and owned on the Sunshine Coast, Bread Basket Company continues that same bakery-tested quality today.
